The angels are trying to prevent us from wiping each other out of the face of the earth because we need to declare the good news of God‘s kingdom before Armageddon read the Bible for more details.

Really nicely done plot, though side plots are embellished (did Hynek ever see an alien preserved in a tank sneaking onto a base, or meet Braun?) and special effects, big name actors and guess what UFOs ARE REAL... ;)
  • History?

Maybe it’s just me but as the show progressed I began to perceive somewhat of an Anti-American vibe. The fact that the "History" Channel airs this crap and presents the series as a sort of docudrama is quite sad. The portrayal of Von Braun was disgusting and non factual. After episode 4 I lost all interest.

It’s not often that the alien trope makes for great tv, but I think History and their team pulled it off. The story lines are solid, the characters are believable and the production quality is top notch. Atypical of the genre, the story and the characters are pretty well grounded. The main characters investigate extraordinary events. Tension builds between the duo because of course the military is only interested in cover-ups. Hynek however (brought in as a supporting skeptic) is beginning to struggle with the potential reality of the events he’s been asked to investigate and debunk. Watching Hynek fall into a reality he thought was a joke is quite compelling. I wish I had done more reading on “Project Blue Book” itself and it will compel me to do my own research, but even knowing about History’s flagrant embellishment in other historical fiction series they’ve done, I get the sense they didn’t have to embellish these events much. If anything they’ve probably embellished mostly with the personal lives of the characters. Not a deal breaker for me. I have to say it may just work out for the series overall. The truth is out there. Check it out.

Superb show. Pilot was a little slow, but episode 2 really really starts the action. Brilliant sets, awesome acting, and great writing. I’m in.

This show is simply boring... could not finish watching the 1st episode. Same old story we've seen before about the 50’s, aliens and the military.
